Journal Entry #2
At the beginning of April (from the first to the
fifth of April), the way was opened to analyze the context of the students with
whom my first practice would be worked, as I chose the practice with elementary
school children, they see weekly 2 hours of English, so to complement the other
hours, we agree to teach third, fourth and fifth grades. The schedule was
organized with the different professors of each group, being present there our
practical advisor, the teacher Luz Andrea Vargas. Daily observe the English
class with the different courses, coming to the conclusion of working with them
Art and Crafts for my innovation plan, since they are little motivated by the
classes and this proposal could help improve their attention and motor
development in many aspects.
The received by the students was pleasant and in
many of them it is nice to see how they perceive a young teacher who can
understand perhaps a little more their needs and rhythm of work.
The atmosphere that is handled in the school is
quite pleasant, the children are very friendly and although they are the 3
courses with older children than the others, they do not have any problem with
accompanying the little ones, on the other hand and not less important is
notorious that the heat in the classrooms is a factor that affects the good
development of the classes.
To summarize it was a productive week in which I
was able to realize how to handle my learning process with each of them.
